At 768 Apartments, Roanoke's Largest Housing Development Ever Proposed Seeks Approval
Roanoke’s largest housing complex ever, at a proposed 768 apartment units, could begin to rise along Orange Avenue Northeast if the developer gains city approval this month.
The mixed-use project from Lynchburg-based TPB Enterprises will also include businesses and for residents feature a swimming pool, clubhouse, coffee bar and dog park.
Roanoke’s planning commission is set to vote Monday on whether to rezone roughly 55 acres of mostly vacant land for the project. At a planning workshop in early December, commissioners did not express major reservations.
