Some bus riders were surprised, pleasantly, this week by the latest update to Roanoke’s new transit station.

Valley Metro on Monday opened the interior portions of its $13-million Third Street Station, which includes a Greyhound bus facility and city bus center at the corner of Third Street and Salem Avenue.
